Friendlies with Tyniecka NWP Kraków
April 11, 2016, Brno
Avoy MU Brno started the 2016 season with two friendly matches with the Polish team Tyniecka NWP Kraków. Both teams met for the first time, so it was not clear how the matches would turn out. Kraków had ten field players, which was almost twice as many as the Brno team.
The first match started at 1 pm and the Brno team entered the match with unprecedented vigour. Reinforced by the visiting Lukáš Valer (BSC Praha), they badly hammered their opponents, with Ondřej Gottlieb pulling them along shooting-wise. Bednarkiewicz couldn't cope with his poisonous shot at the end of the 4th minute and the home team took a quick lead. However, the Poles did not give up and were a worthy opponent for the Czechs. They were able to match them especially in terms of emphasis, so there was no lack of tough personal duels. There were chances on both sides, but only the home team scored by the end of the half when Ondřej Gottlieb scored again. The Poles were rewarded for their activity at the beginning of the second half when the tenacious striker Martin Jung scored with an uncatchable bomb to the bar. The Poles sensed a chance and added even more emphasis. Their captain Marcin Ryszka literally fought for every ball, provoking Ondra Gottlieb to fight back. A yellow card in the hands of the referee calmed down the Brno scorer. On both sides, there was a sharp clash between the striker and the goalkeeper, Martin Jung attacked Tomáš Bukovský in the Avoy MU Brno goal on the border of the goal area, and a moment later Lukáš Valer "drove" into Krzysztof Bednarkiewicz. Ondřej Gottlieb's third goal five minutes before the end of the match brought the Brno team a final calm. An even match ended 3-1 for the home team.
After a half-hour break, both teams met for the second match. Fatigue was visible on the players of both teams and the match was only in the first half. The Polish goalkeeper could not catch two Ondrej Gottlieb's projectiles right at the beginning of the match, so Brno quickly led by two goals in the fifth minute. However, Martin Jung brought the Poles back into the game in the 8th minute when, after a pass from Marcin Ryszka, he managed to squeeze through the home team's defensive block, continued to follow the ball heading towards Tomas Bukovski and just in front of the goal, he hit it lightly, but into the opposite corner of the falling Brno goalkeeper. The next goal was waited for until the 10th minute of the second half when Ondřej Gottlieb scored again after a nice pass from Jan Mrázek. When he added a fourth goal, the game was decided. The game was played out, with substitutes on the field. Nevertheless, two more goals were scored. Jan Mrázek broke the shooting jinx by taking advantage of a shot from goalkeeper Tomáš Bukovský and shooting to the far post, giving the Polish goalkeeper no chance. Just before the end, Lukáš Valer, with his typical accent, pushed the ball into the opponent's net and set the final score at 6-1 for Avoy MU Brno.
Both matches were dominated by the home team, for whom it was a good test before the international tournaments in Chemnitz and then in Bučovice.

Eins-Energy Cup 2016
April 23, 2016, Chemnitz (Germany)
Participating teams: Chemnitzer FC, VSV Würzburg/TSV 1860 München, FC St. Pauli von 1910 e.V., LÁSS Budapest, Avoy MU Brno
The Avoy MU Brno team decided to travel to Chemnitz in Saxony for the first time this year, but until the last moment they considered the offer of FC Schalke 04 for their 1st international tournament in Gelsenkirchen, which was finally used to their delight by their Prague colleagues from BSC Praha. The sixth edition of the Eins Energy Cup was newly played on the football field at Beyerstrasse, the tournament was attended by three German teams Chemntzer FC, FC St. Pauli von 1910 e. V. and VSV Würzburg/TSV 1860 München, Hungarian LÁSS Budapest and Avoy MU Brno. The weather as the only uncontrollable factor did not favour the organisers and participants too much, after really warm spring days a cold front with rain returned. All teams had four matches with fifteen-minute halves.
The opening match pitted the teams Chemnitzer FC (the tournament organizer) and Hungarian LÁSS Budapest against each other. Neither team managed to score for the entire thirty minutes and therefore the match had to be decided on penalties in favour of Chemnitzer FC, who won 1-0 on penalties. Due to the many injuries in the Würzburg team, their players were forced to form a coalition with TSV 1860 Munich for this season, so in the second match of the tournament they got the chance to fight against the youngsters from FC St. Pauli von 1910 e. V. Years of joint work, youth and passion were not resisted by the Würzburg and Munich players and the ball was shaken in their net four times.
Finally, Avoy MU Brno entered the third match against LÁSS Budapest. Right in the first half, Ondřej Gottlieb, a student of the Faculty of Law in Brno, managed to break through. He confirmed his form in the next half, when he increased the score to 2-0, but the Hungarians responded with an uncatchable shot by Szabolcs Orbán and brought the score to 2-1.
The following match brought future German national team goalkeeper Sebastian Themel in the colours of Chemnitzer FC to his knees. Injuries in the team left his defence not fully functional, he was unable to resist the young dragons from FC St. Pauli and scored five times during the match. FC St. Pauli took another three points
The Brno team went into the next match against the combined VSV Würzburg/TSV 1860 Munich line-up very confidently. However, they failed to assert themselves in the first half. The whole game was concentrated in the attacking third of Avoy MU Brno, but bad luck and lack of concentration caused wrinkles to appear on the Brno coach Milan Duda's bench. It was only at the beginning of the second half that Ondřej Gottlieb finally managed to break the bad luck and in the next few minutes he cooled his thirst with three goals. Avoy MU Brno left the field with three more points after a 4-0 victory.
Afterwards, Hungarian LÁSS Budapest gave the German gold medal contenders from FC St. Pauli in Hamburg a hard time. The chances revolved mainly around the Hungarian goal for the whole twenty minutes, but the Hungarians fought like lions for more points in the table. Towards the end of the match, fifteen-year-old Jonathan Tonsig of Hamburg finally made his way through and FC St. Pauli were only challenged by Avoy MU Brno, who met them in the imaginary final match.
In the tenth minute, German striker Serdal Celebi was able to break through to open the way for FC St. Pauli to win the golden cup. However, Ondrej Gottlieb hit back with the same card and equalised at 1-1. When the Brno team increased their lead to 2-1 in the second half, Serdal left the field and the Hamburg side were unable to equalise for the rest of the match. The Brno team got another 3 points in the table and only later in the dressing room they found out that nobody could take away their victory in the tournament. So they could go into the last match against Chemitzer FC with peace of mind.
The top three positions were clear at that point, and in the penultimate match of the tournament, Hungarian LÁSS Budapest and VSV Würzburg/TSV 1860 München played for fourth place. The Hungarians, who had been defending very well so far, finally got a chance to make a mark this time, and after two goals by Szabolcs Orbán they won the "potato medals".
The last match was between eternal rivals Chemnitzer FC and Avoy MU Brno. Already during the handshake before the match, both teams reassured each other that it was no longer a big deal. Jörg Fetzer opened the scoring in the first few minutes of the match, Ondřej Gottlieb replied with a goal in the German goal within the next few minutes. However, in the last minute the Germans managed to turn the match in their favour after a goal by David Lipmann, and Chemnitzer won 2-1, confirming their bronze medal.

Bučovice Blind Football Cup
June 10-13, 2016, Bučovice
In June 2016 we organized the 4th edition of the international tournament - Bučovice Blind Football Cup. Eight teams from seven European countries took part in it, the English Worcester BFC, two German teams FC St. Pauli Hamburg, SF Blau-Gelb Marburg, the Greek Pirsos Thessaloniki, the Belgian Five-a-side Anderlecht, the Italian A.S.D. Liguria Calcio Non Vedenti, the Polish Tyniecka NWP Kraków and the Czech organizing team Avoy MU Brno.
We kept the tournament system from last year, which included group matches and a thrilling knockout part. Spectators and participants of the event could once again listen to professional commentary of each match with the help of borrowed headphones or watch online statistics of the tournament. We also thought of the blind futsal fans who could not attend our tournament. We offered them the opportunity to watch live and commentary coverage of all the matches of the tournament.
This time the Brazilians from ICB Bahia, winners of all previous editions, could not participate in the tournament. The trophy was awarded to the University of Worcester players, who defeated the current German Bundesliga champion Marburg in the final.

Argentine national squad in Bučovice
June 21-22, 2016, Bučovice
Participating teams: Argentinian National Team, Tyniecka NPW Kraków, Avoy MU Brno
The preparation of the Argentinian National squad for the 2016 Rio Paralympics took place in Europe and Bucovice was happy to welcome the squad as well. Los Murciélagos (The Bats) began their tour in Regensburg, Germany, in an international four-nations tournament featuring top European teams from Spain, Great Britain and Germany. The Argentinian ensured a notable victory, and even managed to beat the German team 5-0.
After that, the Argentinian squad made their way to the Czech Republic to meet the Czech and Polish teams, Avoy MU Brno and Tyniecka NWP Kraków.
The Czech coach, Milan Duda, could count with three visiting players − Lukáš Valer (BSC Praha), Rasmus Narjes and Michael Löffler (both FC St. Pauli). The programme of their stay in Bucovice comprised several friendly matches and trainings. Avoy MU Brno and the Bats played the first friendly match. Argentina quickly took the lead after David Peralta scored the first goal but afterwards they had to cope with a well-organized Czech defence for the rest of the half-time. To everyone’s surprise, the second Argentinian goal was scored nearly by the end of the first half, by Silvio Velo. However, even more shocking was the third goal by Ondřej Gottlieb, that took the Argentinian goalkeeper by surprise, as Gottlieb’s shot came from a distance of 12 m. Therefore, the match was 2-1 at the end of the first half time, which was quite unexpected. After the break, the game continued with a focused and persistent Argentinian attack. Their short passes soon confused the opponent’s defence enabling the players to make forays into the penalty area. The three fouls the Czech team committed in the first 15 minutes of the second half affected the final score as all 3 penalty shots by Nicolás Véliz were successful. The final score 1-5 to the Bats reflects the exceptional quality of the Argentinian team and the top form of its players that can boast very accurate passing and high goal scoring chances.
After a short break, the Czech team played their second match; this time against Tyniecka NPW Kraków team. Brno conceded shortly a goal by Martin Jung in the 4th minute, whose shot placed just under the crossbar was uncatchable. The Avoy MU Brno players tried in vain to defeat the Polish defence; though they created several scoring chances, the Polish defence was too strong and made it impossible for the Czech team to crack it.
The third match, between Tyniecka NPW Kraków and Argentina, took place after the lunch break. The rested Bats dismantled the opponent's defence inflicting a heavy defeat on the Poles. Every single situation on the pitch had some chance of turning into a goal for The Bats and they managed to score eight goals by the break time. On that account, the Polish team lost heart and despite having changed several times the goalkeeper, their defence was, unlike in the previous match, leaky. Five Argentinian players managed to score winning the match with the clear-cut 15-0 victory.
The Polish team took their leave on Tuesday evening as planned and only the Czech and Argentinian teams met on Wednesday morning. The opportunity to train with the second best squad in the world meant a lot for the Avoy MU team. Later in the evening, the Czech captain Aleš Moravec welcomed the idea of comparing the sounds that the ball produces to music, as the Argentinian coach suggested. The Czech could practice not only the basic skills with the ball but there was also time left for some more challenging workout. After that, both teams lined up for the last encounter. In the first half, the Czech team managed to keep up with the Argentinian conceding only 2 goals by Silvio Velo and Maxi Espinillo. Los Murciélagos got finally ahead after the break when, in quick succession, Silvio Velo scored twice. At the end of the match Maxi Espinillo also added two more goals and Argentina won 6-0.
The Argentinian National Team left Bucovice perfectly happy. The players reported feeling at home and said they would always love to come back. Martín Demonte, the technical director of the team, summed it up with these beautiful words:
"When we began planning in 2015 the preparation of our National Team prior to the Rio 2016 Paralympics, we may not have initially considered the Czech Republic as one of the strong locations in the agenda; nevertheless, we decided to include Bucovice into our European tour schedule. Once we got there, we were given a warm welcome by a groups of people with their heart in their hands. In addition, we were able to train at a professional level and, at the same time, got the chance to meet some wonderful people who share the same passions and values and who experience similar difficulties but, just like us, never cease to look for solutions to overcome them. Now, back home to Argentina, I would like to express my thanks to all Avoy MU Brno team members, especially to Jitka Graclíková and Lenka Kroupová, for attending to every detail and making sure our preparation was the best possible, which will certainly contribute to reaching our objective in Rio. Farewell, our friends. If you carry on working as hard as you do now, I'm sure it will not be long for the Czech Republic to become a world blind football force to be reckoned with."
After a short stop in Prague, the Bats continued to Gottingen, Germany, to play two friendly matches with the German National Team, winning both of them 2-0. Naturally, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for the Rio 2016 Paralympics. It was a great honour to host such a compact team packed with top level players. There was plenty to learn from the Bats and we are grateful for this wonderful opportunity.

Avoy MU Brno at the tournament in Marburg
July 1-3, 2016, Marburg (Germany)
Participating teams: SF Blau-Gelb Marburg, FC St. Pauli, FC Schalke, Avoy MU Brno
Avoy MU Brno with guest Lukáš Valer (BSC Praha) started the summer holidays with a trip to the distant Marburg for a mini-tournament, which was part of the big Louis Braille Festival 2016 organized by Blista Marburg (Blindenstudienanstalt eV, a school for blind students). In addition to the visiting team from Marburg, the tournament was attended by two other German teams, FC Schalke 04 and the old friends FC St. Pauli.
In the semi-finals, German league winners SF Blau-Gelb Marburg took on Avoy MU Brno and FC Schalke faced FC St. Pauli. The Brno side, who were weakened by the loss of key player Ondrej Gottlieb, were unable to resist the Marburg side and lost 0-2. Brno's opponent in the third place match was decided by penalties after a goalless 2nd semi-final match - FC Schalke were the winners of the final, as only one of their players was the successful penalty kicker.
Thus, the Brno team went into the fight for third place against FC St. Pauli and after the injury of Lukas Valero they were unable to compete with the Germans. The match ended with FC St. Pauli winning 4-2, with Jan Mrazek and Lukáš Valer scoring for Avoy MU Brno. FC Schalke and SF Blau-Gelb Marburg then faced each other in the final. The winners of the German league confirmed their form with a 3-0 victory and literally crushed FC Schalke.

Blind Football Masters
September 24-25, 2016, Hamburg, St. Pauli
Participating teams: Avoy MU Brno (Czech Republic), SF/BG Marburg (Germany), FC St. Pauli (Germany), LÁSS Budapest (Hungary), Five-A-Side Anderlecht (Belgium), Sporting Paris (France)
After the summer break, the first test of the Brno team was the 9th edition of the international tournament Blind Football Masters in Hamburg, held under the motto "Keep your mind wide open". Last year's gold medals put an understandable pressure on the team to repeat the success, but the line-up, depleted by the cannon player Ondrej Gottlieb, kept the expectations rather low.
Group matches
Of the original 8 invited teams, only 6 made it to the port city on the Elbe, so the tournament system had to be logically changed. The tournament was not played in 2 groups, but in a one-on-one system. From these Saturday duels, a table was then created, which determined the composition of the teams in the Sunday matches for placement.
Brno's first opponent was the recent multiple German Bundesliga winner SF/BG Marburg. The team confirmed its role as the favourite right from the beginning and launched one attack after another. However, the attackers often encountered excellent positional play of Michal Petráš, who managed to eliminate many shots. About halfway through the game, Niclas Schubert snuck along the right side and with a sharp shot from an angle under the crossbar, he didn't give goalkeeper Bukovsky much of a chance. The Brno team didn't manage to turn the game around, only sporadically getting to the opponent's goal, mostly without a good finish. On the other side, Ali Pektas and Hasan Koparan had chances, but their shots were defused by the Brno goalkeeper. Avoy MU Brno - SF/BG Marburg 0-1.
In the second match Avoy MU Brno played against LÁSS Budapest. The Hungarian team showed improvement, which resulted in a quick leading goal after an uncompromising shot by Szabolcs Orbán. For the rest of the match, the Hungarians rather retreated to the defence, where they made life difficult for Jan Mrázek, who once again amazed the spectators with his perfect tackles. However, it did not lead to an equaliser. LÁSS Budapest - Avoy MU Brno 1-0.
The next opponent was the organizing and no less famous team from St. Pauli. Mutual matches are usually evenly matched and characterized by high intensity. This time the home team quickly took the lead when Serdal Celebi broke away from the left side and shot a close range shot past Tomas Bukovski. Then it was up and down, with both Jan Mrazek and the visiting Michael Löffler penetrating the Hamburg defence. However, they failed to score. On the other side, Jonathan Tönsing had a promising chance, but a good defensive tackle by Aleš Moravec headed the ball into the net. However, the young striker did not miss the tackle, he would have worked the ball in the net, the referee did not interrupt the game and let the action finish. Tönsing then arced his way in front of the goal, where he was stopped again by the excellent Petras, but the tackle was ruled illegal and a six-metre penalty kick was ordered. Rasmus Narjes converted it with a sharp half-volley to the bar, setting the final score at a two-goal difference. Avoy MU Brno - FC St. Pauli 0-2.
As time went on, they were slowly running out of energy, but there were still two games left before the end of Saturday. The first one was a showdown with 5-a-side Anderlecht. They entered the match a bit more active thanks to the immortal Alexander Wespes, who fought head-to-head with the Brno defence. However, it was the Brno team that managed to score first. A beautiful solo from his own half was performed by the visiting Michael Löffler, who made a slalom between the Brussels players and finished with an unstoppable shot that bounced off the bar and into the net. Anderlecht's pressure never let up. Alexander Wespes was injured in one of the duels in front of the Brno goal, injuring his ankle and having to be carried off the pitch on a stretcher. This put the chances for an equaliser away from the Beglicans, all the more so when Jan Mrázek scored with a close range shot shortly before the end of the match. Brno's first win of the day was in the world. Avoy MU Brno - 5-a-Side Anderlecht 2-0.
Brno team entered the last and probably the most difficult match against Sporting Paris with boosted confidence after the previous win. It was matched by the game performance - although the opponent dominated with speed and refined technique, Avoy players showed a focused performance and were a worthy opponent throughout the match. French canon Martin Baron fired one shot after another, but most of them didn't fit between the 3 bars or were knocked out by the Brno goalkeeper. The turning point came after one corner kick, when Martin Baron approached the goal from the right and pushed the ball into the net with a not quite successful shot at the near post. The goal put the Parisians to sleep, but it was the Brno team that threatened and from one quick counter-attack Jan Mrázek gave a reminder of his poisonous shots. It was equal! By the end of the match the score did not change and Avoy MU Brno took home the valuable scalp of a one-goal draw against the favourite to win the tournament. Sporting Paris - Avoy MU Brno 1-1.

Placement match
Sunday's matches were marked by battles for the final standings. The top 4 teams competed in two semi-finals, the Brno team went straight into the 5th place match against 5-a-side Anderlecht. They went into the match weakened by Alexander Wespes, who had a broken ankle from the previous encounter. This gave the Brno team hopes for an easier match, which unfortunately did not happen. It was the Belgian team, specifically Christoff Eilers, who opened the scoring quite soon with a beautiful shot to the near post. The shot was hidden behind the defenders, so Bukovsky in goal didn't have much time to react. For the rest of the game, the player from Brussels dominated and was the one who created the play. The team from Brno was unrecognizable from the last game and it was looking bad for them as the last minute of the game was left and the score was still 1-0 in their favour. Jan Mrázek grabbed the ball 50 seconds before the end of the half and with a last second break into the box he equalised! The result of the match had to be decided by penalty kicks. Both visiting players - Michael Löffler and Lars Stetten - scored for Brno, while Christoff Eilers scored again for Brussels. Avoy MU Brno thus turned the match around and took 5th place in the final standings.

5. Sächsischer Blindenfußball-Cup
October 22-23, 2016, Leipzig (Germany)
Participating teams: 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig, Chemnitzer FC, FC St. Pauli (Germany), Tyniecka NPW Kraków (Poland), Avoy MU Brno (Czech Republic)
On the penultimate weekend of October, the Brno team travelled to Leipzig, Saxony, to defend their gold medals from last year at the fifth annual Saxony Blind Football Cup. This year, for the first time, the tournament was organized by the local football club 1. FC Lokomotive - finally the dream of the organizers of this tournament was fulfilled, namely to build a team of blind footballers in Leipzig. Starting players from Leipzig were supposed to be supported by more experienced players from Berlin, but they cancelled their participation on the Friday evening before the tournament.
So the tournament was entered by the organizing team 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig with a beginner's squad, the German silver and bronze medalists from the German league Chemnitzer FC and FC St. Pauli. The international participants were one of the two Polish teams Tyniecka NWP Kraków and Avoy MU Brno. These five teams competed in a one-on-one tournament system spread over Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, all participants had the opportunity to visit the Stasi Museum and soak up the atmosphere of the German secret police environment before the fall of the Berlin Wall.
In the opening match of the tournament, the defending gold medalists from Brno and the home organising team faced each other. Logically, the years of training and playing ability could not match the new players from Leipzig, so after the opening goals by Jan Mrázek and Ondrej Gottlieb, Avoy sent defenders Vojta Polášek and Aleš Moravec into the attack. Aleš finally got his first international goal, to which the newly elected captain Honza Mrázek added two more, and Ondřej Gottlieb didn't let him be shamed either, also contributing two goals to the mill. The first match of Avoy MU Brno against 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig ended 7-0.
In the second match, the Polish NWP Tyniecka Kraków proved that less than a year of hard training is bearing fruit, as they were able to draw with the silver medalists of the German league, Chemnitzer FC, in a match full of chances, without conceding a single goal. NWP Tyniecka Kraków vs Chemnitzer FC 0-0. The third match on Saturday was played by fresh German league bronze medallists FC St. Pauli, who took on the home team. Most of the game was played in FC St. Pauli's attacking third, with 16-year-old German national team member Rasmus Narjes scoring twice, with two more goals from Paul Ruge, who was later awarded the tournament's best player. FC St. Pauli against 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig 4-0.
In the next match both foreign teams from the Czech Republic and Poland fought against each other. The players from Krakow entered the game with great vigour, arriving with a full squad of thirteen people. However, the more experienced Avoy MU Brno showed their form and Jan Mrázek managed to slip between four defenders and score a textbook goal for the Polish national team before the end of the first half. Ondrej Gottlieb did not let himself be spurred on for long and added another goal ten seconds before the end of the first half from a corner kick. In the second half nobody managed to score again, and so the fourth match Avoy MU Brno against NWP Tyniecka Kraków 2-0.
In the penultimate match on Saturday, German league rivals FC St. Pauli and Chemnitzer FC faced each other. The Hamburg players, weakened by Serdal Celebi and Jonathan Tönsing, were unable to assert themselves in a very even fight, but the players from Saxon Kamenice did not. FC St. Pali vs Chemnitzer FC 0-0. The injured Leipzig goalkeeper could no longer play in the last match of the day and was replaced in goal by German national team goalkeeper Sebastian Themel. Polish side Tyniecka Kraków had a much tougher job than the Brno team had in the morning, and it was their third match of the day, but after one draw and a loss on Saturday, they finally added three points to the table after a 1-0 win - Martin Jung scored from a penalty kick. NWP Tyniecka Kraków vs. 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig 1-0.
The standings after Saturday's matches were as follows-
- Avoy MU Brno will go into Sunday's matches with six points after victories against the home hosts and Poland's Tyniecka Kraków.
- FC St. Pauli gained 4 points from a draw against Chemnitzer FC and a win against 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig.
- The Poles take 4 points after three games, a draw with German league silver medallists Chemnitzer FC, a loss to Avoy MU Brno and a win over home side 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig.
- Chemnitzer FC earned 2 draw points from goalless draws against FC St. Pauli and Tyniecka Kraków.
- Unfortunately, the home team from Leipzig did not win a single point in three matches.
Just like last year's edition, friends from Avoy MU Brno and FC St. Pauli faced each other on Sunday morning. In the very first half, the Hamburgers punished the mistake of the Brno defenders with a goal by Rasmus Narjes and despite a great effort, the Brno team failed to level the score by the end of the match. FC St. Pauli took an important three points in the table, making the battle for first place much more dramatic. FC St. Pauli vs. Avoy MU Brno 1-0.
In the next match, Chemnitzer FC finally scored a goal against the host team, 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig - former national team player Jörg Fetzer scored twice. Chemnitzer FC vs. 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig 2-0. FC St. Pauli, still fighting for the gold medals, were unable to score in their penultimate match against the excellent defence of Polish side NWP Tyniecka Kraków and the match ended goalless. FC St. Pauli vs NWP Tyniecka Kraków 0-0.
The tournament ended with the imaginary final - one of the toughest matches for Avoy MU Brno, who played against their long-time rivals from Chemnitzer FC. The Brno players were under a lot of pressure, as they had no choice but to fight hard and win to defend their title. Jan Mrázek, the tournament's top scorer, came close to doing so at the start of the first half, but Saxon cannonballer Jörg Fetzer responded later. After five minutes of the first half, the injured Ondra Gottlieb gave up his efforts and left the Brno team to fight with only four players without the possibility of substitutions. However, Jan Mrázek gave a heroic performance in the second half. He crowned his effort with the winning goal in the second minute. By the end of the match, two standard situations were whistled, which meant a great danger for Brno goalkeeper Tomáš Bukovský, but he did not disappoint and held the Brno players. Avoy MU Brno against Chemnitzer FC 2-1.

2nd Autumn Tournament in Paris
November 10-11, 2016, Paris
Participating teams: Sporting Paris Cécifoot (France), As Cécifoot Saint-Mandé (France), FC St. Pauli (Germany), Avoy MU Brno (Czech Republic)
Avoy MU Brno planned to finish this year's challenging season in Paris by accepting an invitation to the second international autumn tournament in Saint Mandé. The four-team tournament mainly attracted the winners of the Franco-Belgian league - Parisian Sporting Paris Cécifoot, who were further complemented by the French organizing team As Cécifoot Saint-Mandé and the German bronze medalists, our old friends FC St. Pauli.
The two-day tournament, full of thrilling duels where everyone could measure their strength against everyone else, started with the host team from Saint-Mandé against Hamburg's FC St. Pauli. The Germans showed that despite being shorthanded and without any substitution opportunities they are in great form this year, winning 2-0 against the hosts after two goals from German international Jonathan Tönsing and Paul Ruge. As Cécifoot Saint-Mandé against FC St. Pauli 0-2.
The first international match for Avoy MU Brno on French soil came afterwards and immediately against the defending champions of last year's first edition, French champions Sporting Paris Cécifoot. The Brno players arrived in Paris reinforced by the visiting Lukáš Valer and additionally former captain of the British national team Keryn Seal. They started the match with the strongest possible line-up of Polášek, Seal, Mrázek and Valer. Unfortunately, the home environment was not favourable for the Parisians, the French Paralympian Martin Baron managed to score twice, so the first match ended in a loss for the Brno team. Sporting Paris Cécifoot against Avoy MU Brno 2-0.
Saturday morning's game saw Avoy and the visiting team from Saint-Mandé in difficult conditions, the whole pitch full of ice, the slippery ice-like surface was quite a threat to injury. The Broncos dominated throughout the game, with most of the play taking place in their attacking third. At the start of the second half, Brno captain Jan Mrazek managed to get within one meter of the net and finish with an uncatchable shot for Dylan Lamarie. Despite their best efforts, As Cécifoot Saint-Mandé were unable to equalise by the end of the game and Avoy scored their first three important points. As Cécifoot Saint-Mandé vs Avoy MU Brno 0-1.
By the second game on Saturday, the rain had melted away, so the two most dominant teams so far, Sporting Paris Cécifoot and German FC St. Pauli, played against each other in better conditions. The St. Pauli team was at a slight disadvantage due to the absence of substitute players, so against such a strong opponent the German players had to use all their strength. In the first half, Hakim Arezki, another Paralympic silver medallist from London, sent the Parisians into the lead. But the Germans fought on and in the second half the 16-year-old Jonathan Tönsing of the German national team managed to equalise. Just moments later, another German international, Serdal Celebi, received two yellow cards in one minute of play, so the remaining three Hamburg players had to finish the tough match three against four. They fought like lions until the end and managed to hold on to the important draw. FC St. Pauli vs Sporting Cécifoot Paris 1-1.
After lunch, the long-time friends and rivals played their penultimate game of the tournament. At the beginning of the second half, the St. Pauli players began to run out of breath and the Brno players laid more siege to the German goal. Eventually, the Germans did not let up the pressure, Lukáš Valer managed to get into a shooting position and place his shot into the bottom right corner, where it met the camera of our prepared photographer Silvia Hrbáčková. The Brno team took the lead and the Germans quickly equalized under strong pressure. Unfortunately, moments later Paul Ruge crashed into defending Lukas Valer in defence, landed badly on his ankle and was taken to the Paris military hospital for an X-ray after the game. Avoy then immediately pulled defenseman Vojtech Polasek from the field to make the game as fair and even as possible, so it was three-on-three. However, St. Pauli are already making defensive mistakes out of exhaustion and are unable to bring the ball out on offense. This once again opened the way for Lukas Valer, who sent an incredibly hard shot between the legs of Tim Tronschel, the FC St. Pauli goalkeeper, with a few minutes left. Avoy can therefore take two important points after the two-goal victory. Avoy MU Brno vs. FC St. Pauli 2-0.
The cold and rain made the German and Czech players decide to leave the tournament venue and head to the hotel for a well-deserved shower. In the meantime, the last match of the tournament is being played on the pitch with a predictable result for most. No one from Brno really believes that the duel between French teams As Cécifoot Saint-Mandé and Sporting Paris Cécifoot could end in a draw, which would take Avoy MU Brno all the way to 1st place. The most beautiful moment for Avoy was therefore the moment of rest at the hotel, when they learned from social media that the organizers As Cécifoot Saint-Mandé managed to draw with the tournament favorites. As Cécifoot Saint-Mandé vs Sporting Cécifoot Paris 0-0.
