Friendly Blind Football League, Round 1

April 29 and 30, 2023, Vienna

At the end of April, we participated in the 2nd round of the Friendly Blind Football League, which took place in Vienna and included not only our team but also the organizing team ÖBSV Vienna, Wisła Kraków and as a guest the newly formed national team from Kosovo. In the first game on Saturday we beat the Vienna team 4:0, with Jan Bango scoring a hat trick and Lukáš Valer adding one goal. After that, we played only a goalless draw with the Kosovo players. On Sunday we finished the tournament with a victory against the Poles from Krakow, when Lukáš Valer scored 2:1. Considering the other results, we dominated the 2nd round and gained 7 points in the table of the 2022/23 edition. Vladimir Vaďura was named goalkeeper of the round, the best scorers were our Lukáš Valer and Jan Bango together with Martin Jung from Krakow.

Summer Camp

June 16 to 18, 2023, Bučovice

The summer camp in Bučovice was held earlier, on 16th to 18th June. There were 6 players, 2 goalkeepers, a navigator behind the goal and 3 coaches. The main focus of the camp was training sessions, which were held on Friday 16 June from 15:00 to 17:30, on Saturday 17 June in two phases 9-11, 14:30 - 17:00, and on Sunday 18 June from 9 to 11. Saturday's training was focused on fitness and was led by a guest, Lukáš Bodeček, a local native and fitness coach of SK Slavia Praha. Jitka Medová, a physiotherapist, also came to join us for a few hours. We used again the outdoor playground at the primary school Školní 710 in Bučovice, we stayed in the Pension Na Zeleném statku in Rašovice, where we also ate breakfast and dinner. Overall, the camp led the participants to work intensively on the physical condition of the players, improving skill techniques and team tactics not only for the regular players, but also for the newcomers, where the shift was very clear.
